goldgold Color Filtering with ACDP Color Filters

At the additive color mixture, all colors are mixed from the 3 Primary Colors red, green and blue. This way, natural colors can well be approached.
Each individual color, so to say, is a mixture of the 3 Primary Colors. If such a mixed color has prior fixed portions of the Primary Colors, it can be recognized by comparing the 3 color values.

When a color is recognized from one of the prior defined color ranges, you can then set all 3 color channels to 100% (=white). The spectrum color thus disappears completely from the image. Any object represented in one of these colors will also disappear completely.

This AdvancedCOLOR DocumentProcessing method allows for very fine distinguishing between color tones. A blue ball-pen can be separated from a blue background. Filters of such kind are called ACDP color filters in DpuScan.

Defining an ACDP color filter is quite easy: On a sample image, you define all unwanted colored areas by drawing frames as background color. Switching over from color image to gray image allows the result to be checked immediately. When calculating filters, DpuScan automatically considers scattering factors to compensate for color fluctuations during scanning.

To prevent defined background colors from being filtered out also from the foreground, explicit foreground colors can be defined by spanning a frame.

Attention: Many scanner filter options will filter only the three Primary Colors. Therefore, you have to decide which of the three camera colors will be used for scanning. Mixed colors that can be processed by the ACDP typically remain unconsidered.
